Using the Website Audit Tool

The unified Website Audit Tool at /audit is the most comprehensive way to analyze any website. It runs eight audit categories in a single scan:

  • Performance — page load speed, resource optimization, and server response times.
  • SEO — title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, and keyword usage.
  • Security — SSL certificate, security headers, mixed content, and vulnerability checks.
  • Technical — HTML validation, robots.txt, sitemap, canonical tags, and redirect chains.
  • Accessibility — contrast ratios, ARIA labels, keyboard navigation, and alt text.
  • Content — readability, word count, duplicate content, and content structure analysis.
  • Core Web Vitals — LCP, INP, and CLS metrics from real Chrome data.
  • Broken Links — scans all internal and external links for 404 errors and redirects.

How it works

  1. Navigate to /audit and enter the URL you want to audit.
  2. Click Run Audit. The first six categories (Performance, SEO, Security, Technical, Accessibility, Content) load together.
  3. Core Web Vitals and Broken Links load asynchronously after the initial results appear — you will see a loading indicator until they complete.

Category tabs and scoring

Results are organized into category tabs across the top of the page. Click any tab to see its detailed findings. Each category receives its own letter grade from A+ (excellent) to F (critical issues), along with a numeric score out of 100.

The overall audit score is a weighted average of all eight categories. The grade thresholds are:

  • A+ (97-100) | A (93-96) | A- (90-92)
  • B+ (87-89) | B (83-86) | B- (80-82)
  • C+ (77-79) | C (73-76) | C- (70-72)
  • D+ (67-69) | D (63-66) | D- (60-62)
  • F (below 60)

Auto-save & anonymous access

When you are logged in, audit results are automatically saved to your Saved Reports page — no manual save step required. Anonymous (not logged in) users can run up to 3 free audits per day. Create a free account to increase your daily limit and keep a searchable history of every audit you run.

Tip: Use the unified audit tool for a complete picture. If you only need on-page content analysis, the On-Page SEO Analyzer at /on-page is a faster, focused alternative.
